
 
Biogen Legacy Fund
Biogen expressed its deepest sympathies to all those who lost family and friends in the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
Nothing we say or do can take the place of the more than 3,000 people who perished. Nor can we ease the heartache of the loved ones who mourn their losses. Time and faith alone can heal those wounds.
But we believe we can still make a difference for many of those who died, by helping with their lives' greatest cause: their children. In that spirit, Biogen has created The Biogen Legacy Fund, a $1 million donation to provide need-based educational assistance for children who lost a parent during the tragic event of September 11th.
In order to achieve the Fund's goals, Biogen established a trust at Boston's Fleet Bank that will award several scholarships each year for the next 18 years to deserving young men and women pursuing higher education. In 2002, the Legacy Fund provided scholarships to five students.
Biogen made a $1,000,000 contribution to the Trust, and many individuals have expressed an interest in participating as well. If you would like to make a personal donation to The Biogen Legacy Fund, you may send your contribution to the following address:
