Biogen has a long-standing tradition of supporting communities in which we live and work. Our newest initiative is the Biogen Community Laboratory, a state-of-the art teaching facility on-site for Cambridge area students and teachers that offers programs in the area of biotechnology.

Biogen also sponsors and participates in clothing drives, blood drives, volunteer days, and several activities that support the MS community. Biogen was the presenting sponsor of the Central New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS)'s first-ever three-day Challenge Walk in 2002. The Biogen Rolling Clones bicycling team participates in "Tour the Vineyard", "WB56 Great Mass Getaway", "Surf & Turf: New Hampshire" and other MS 150 Bike Tour events all of which benefit MS research and programs.

Biogen recognizes the importance of supporting community-based organizations in the area of education, health care and the arts. Here are just a few of the organizations we are proud to support:

The Biomedical Science Career Program provides students of all races, ethnic backgrounds, gender and financial status with encouragement, support and guidance needed for the successful pursuit of careers in biomedical sciences.

The East End House is a non-profit, multi-service community center and social service agency committed to providing programs and services to strengthen family and community in East Cambridge, Cambridge and Greater Boston.

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Lab Supplies and Teachers' Program. The Center's mission is to provide long-term economic benefit to North Carolina through support of biotechnology research, development and commercialization statewide.
