AMEVIVE® (alefacept)

On January 30, 2003, the FDA approved AMEVIVE(R) (alefacept) for the treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe chronic plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. Psoriasis affects about 80 million people worldwide and 4.5 million U.S. adults. Approximately 1.5 million U.S. psoriasis patients suffer from moderate-to-severe disease.
